The Nesmith Open Tournament was first played on December 5th, 2006. It was won by the Texicans consisting of Steve Hansberry and Jon Rivera with 4 straight game victories in a best of 7 series.

Notable Rule Changes

  • The Rich Cautella Rule was in effect
  • The Head Violation rule was disputed by the Texicans after a Jared Davis serve hit the back of Joe Piemonte's head then flew into the Texicans court. The serve was counted as a fault, thus judging the rule Unvenstitutional.
